Grace

Meet the fabulousness that is Grace!  She is a hoot!  This girl has more spunk, sass and hilarity in her than most rooms of random people combined.  I didn’t see it at first.  There was a reticence with her that I quickly recognized from plenty of past clients.  It took a bit for her to warm up and trust me to create amazing for her.  But once she did, I got to know the true Grace.

Grace’s mom wanted formal portraits of Grace like I created for her JDP senior son Jake last year.  We’ve found that to be a trend with many of our families.  Once they see what we can do for their senior they know they want it for their other children, of all ages as well.  It’s always an honor to create in ways that are meaningful to our clients and energizes me as a creative as well.

We dialed down Grace’s spunk for a bit in her timeless fine art portrait segment.  She glowed through this segment.

Grace brought a few things that were important to her to lock down in the portraits.  This delicate piece of coral was a gift from her grandmother. The beach is her calming place so the coral holds a special spot in her heart.

Grace is also fanatical about orchids.  She can tell you the story of orchids and she cares for them in ways to keep them blooming and bringing beauty to her life regularly.

Grace loves jamming to music and riding her jeep hard around town.  This black jeep is her baby.  They’ve been through a lot together and although she’s no expert behind the wheel, her Jeep doesn’t mind.  They are making memories together and that’s what matters!

Grace has recently started taking charge of her health in way that invigorates her.  She started crossfit at Iron Hammer in Westminster several months ago and found she loves it.   She’s setting goals and smashing them, she’s connecting with the other members who have been cheerleaders for her every step of the way.  She is touched by their encouragement and checking it to hold her accountable.  Two yeas ago when her weight reached a point that frustrated her to no end, she started taking appetite suppressants.  She lost 80 lbs but knew the health effects would be bad long term for her, so she sought another way to be healthy.  Lifting has given this to her.  When she began her dead lift was 40 lbs, 2 months later is was 105, 5 months later it is now 175 lbs!!  Just this past week she hit a new milestone with a 125 back squat.

Grace you are a joy and bring laughter everywhere you go!  Your out takes are still cracking me up!  Shine on girl and let me know when you reach your next lifting goal! 😉
