There's an expression, "you have a son for a while but a daughter for life." Well Francesca and her mom Simona have been pretty inseparable over her last 18 years. Simona's hoping the last part of the expression holds true as Cesca begins to spread her wings to fly. She jokes she'll be waving to her from her dorm parking lot daily!
Simona's always made memory making experiences a top priority with her family. So Francesca was going to forgo senior portraits for a trip to Italy with her family to celebrate her graduation. Then I rec'd a text from an auction Simona was attending, "looks like Francesca's getting her senior portraits after all!" So how fitting that Cesca, who is 50% Italian should take on this Italian princess look for her fine art piece creation! Something tells me her Nonna is beaming with pride in Italy right now!
Knowing this was something Cesca has wanted to do for a long time, I figured we should reveal it in a surprise for her! So Simona and Francesca stopped by the studio, under the guise of helping me move something. Then I led her back to the wardrobe rack and said, 'maybe you want to pick something to wear for your senior portrait time?' She was pretty shocked and cracked up laughing saying, 'you've been lying to me this whole time!?' Then we pointed out my son hiding behind a chair filming us!
So here's to all the seniors out there who are about to break their moms hearts wide open when they leave at the end of the summer! You are dearly loved and always welcome home with piles of dirty laundry and stories of college life to fill the hours while mom awaits your return!
(Cesca, something tells me your bi-weekly nail appointment w/Mom will now be moving to a new salon.)
