Precious little Riley made her grand appearance just one week before our session.  Mom was pretty sure she was coming early and mom was right!  Something tells me Riley heard all the fun big brother Logan was having and decided the present was as good a time as any to join in!

Riley surprised everyone with her beautiful full head of dark hair!  She was a very alert little peanut through most of our session time.

Mom and Dad debated about including their English Bulldog Gunner in the session but figured we’d be kicking up enough commotion with two-year-old big brother exploring everything around him.   Bummer, I love a dog that’s so ugly it’s cute!   Who knows, maybe we’ll meet him in the future?

In mom’s maternity session blog I noted how cool it was to see dad how took the lead on arranging this portrait session for mom.  Tim continued to help make Katie’s dreams for this day a reality by planning many of the details and helping support her in this.

Most importantly, he finally caved, after a fair amount of subtle prodding, to Katie’s desire to have Riley photographed with his tattoos.  Tim was in the military and when I asked where his tattoo was, I was corrected, “tattoos.”  Cool, we got to work creating some beautiful art from life.  Katie was delighted!

So crazy to think Riley, just 7 days earlier was nestled peacefully inside Katie’s womb….it’s an amazing thing we’ve been created to do!  (this maternity image was actually taken a little over a month before Riley was born)

Logan’s been a great big brother to Riley already.  He likes holding and snuggling her at home, but this day there was too much fun stuff to check out, so baby sister had to take a back seat!

It won’t be long before Riley is chasing after Logan and I’m sure Gunner will be pulling up the rear for many of their adventures!

Wow! absolutely amazing photography and story lines. The most beautiful family photos I have ever seen. My niece Gina Barnes's little family is so beautiful and you certainly captured the essence of the whole clan in your film and clever captions. These photos brought tears to my eyes, but then it has been more than a year since I have seen them all.

Thank you Gina for sharing these with me and from your iphone at that, they are "Spectacular"!!

The photos of Erik, Gina and family are priceless. You did an outstanding job of showing their love for one another. Like Aunt Annie, I too got misty-eyed by the beauty of each picture. Your work is truly amazing.
