Lil Miss Zoey’s 6 month old portrait session was a time to celebrate all things beautiful and girly! Zoey and mom came to her portrait session armed with a collection of precious outfits and fresh flowers which was a breath of fresh air in the midst of our stale MD winters.
Oh how I delight in portrait session for little girls! I spent a fair share of my childhood playing dolls and, well, with 3 boys, let’s just say those days are a distant past.
Zoey definitely wins the award for the most chillaxin baby ever. She never uttered a peep of complaint as mom dressed and undressed her; she just quietly observed and was curious about the whole process. Frequently babies pull at headbands or complain about frequent changes, not this one!
Zoey is adored by her whole family and for big sister Nia, Zoey’s like having her real own baby doll. What I found so uncanny is Zoey, as good-natured as she is, is not a great sleeper. She still wakes up 3x a night. Oh poor mom 🙁 , although Kelly said she’s adjusted and is used to it now. In case you didn’t see her cape in the photos, she’s a Super-mom for sure!
I think that little observant nature of Zoey’s has convinced her she’ll miss something if she sleeps too long! Maybe she’ll be one of those people who thrive on 4 hours a night through life? Wouldn’t we all love to be like that!
Zoey’s channeling the vintage Gerber baby vibe here!
Zoey just lit up when her Momma held her! Actually, I think the feeling is pretty mutual! Sweet dreams sweet girl!
