Baby Max took his time coming… until the end that is!  Julie was induced several days after her due date and she was more than ready to have her first baby!   I met her at the hospital to help pass the slow labor for a bit and learned she was only 4 cm. after over 7 hours since the start of her induction. I figured this was going to be a long day for her…

I visited for about an hour and noticed her contractions picking up while she debated to epidural or not.   During the course of our discussion her discomfort began to grow rapidly and the monitor showed contractions coming in waves of three and peaking beyond the top of the chart.   That’s when Julie decided “yes” to an epidural.

She let her nurse know she was eager for some relief from the pain that was beginning to bear down hard on her.  I figured she still had several grueling hours in front of her on this journey to motherhood and was grateful she was about to have some relief.  I knew it was time for my visit to come to an end.  I prayed for her before I left and it was about 3:30.  I also prayed she’d have her baby by the end of the day.  Lo and behold, Julie had that baby ½ hour after I left!!!!  No time for an epidural and Max made his appearance after only two pushes!!!!  Amazing!  Julie joked my prayers paved the path for a speedy resolution of her labor.   Isn’t it awesome when God says, ‘yes’!

Julie’s thread bare “Mutt Dog” from her childhood.  If Max attaches to him he’s going to need some serious surgery to survive the love of another child!

One of the coolest things about working with Brad and Julie is their tenderness towards each other. Julie often reaches out affectionately to Brad with a kiss.  Baby Max will be blessed to be surrounded by a Mom and Dad who love each other with such tenderness!

Everything Brad loves most in this life…Julie…his “sweet child of mine” Max…and his Z28!

Julie noticed how fatherly Brad’s become since Max’s birth.  His mega stereo system in the Camaro hasn’t gotten it’s routine workout lately!  I have a feeling Brad and Max will log a lot of hours together continuing to modify the Camaro and I’m betting there will be some Guns and Roses on in the background!

Officially the coolest mom and dad on the block!

Carrots waited patiently for us through Max’s whole session.  In fact, almost a little too patiently.  We almost forgot about him until in the last scene of shooting I remembered “Carrots!!!”  Sooo glad we remembered his sweet self!  He’s officially the first rabbit in a C A P T U R E D session.

Sweet dreams little one…may God shine upon you and bless the paths you walk as you come to know Him on your journey!
