It’s a wonderful thing to have all the sweetest things in your life, in one place, at one time, and there just happens to be a photographer there to C A P T U R E  it all! 

Erin and Justin are eagerly awaiting the birth of their second child, a son they’ve named Derrick.  Their 2-year-old daughter Claire is just as eager to welcome her baby brother.  Claire cracked me up through the whole session!  I posted the pic below on Erin’s sneak peek and somone commented, “this is hilarious–this could go viral!”  Claire’s expression certainly cracked me up while I was shooting!

Everyone who knows Erin says she could make a living from making her famous cup cakes….she’s not sure she could do that everyday without getting bored but she does love baking them with Claire by her side helping. 

Claire was very excited to share with me that she had helped mom make the cupcakes they brought, ‘I put everything in the bowl, but not the coffee cause that was hot, so Mom did that.’ 

Erin’s other passion is quilting.  Quilting is something she could do as a job every day… if that job existed!  We’re not talking quilts done 80% by machines, nope.  Erin hand stitches her entire quilts!  That’s a lot of dedication and time going into each quilt she creates with love. 

Erin’s mom taught her how to sew many years ago.   That’s pretty cool because sewing is a lost art today.  Erin took the next step to learn quilting on her own.  Something tells me this love of creating from the work of your hands will be passed on to Derrick and Claire!  I think Dad’s vote is going to be to keep the cupcakes coming strong!
