Princess Emma

Welcome sweet baby Emma!  Heather and Billy’s little princess was just a week old when I met at their home for their newborn portrait session.  Heather is very thankful for how perfect her little girl is.  Heather had gestational diabetes which she worked diligently to keep in check throughout her pregnancy.

(A friend of Heather’s didn’t realize this was Heather’s new baby.  She mistook it for an Anne Gedes creation…we’ll take it and how appropriate that this little princess would be mistaken for a baby model at  just a few days old! )

It’s pretty awesome how that protective mother instinct kicks in
and mother’s do whatever necessary to protect their children through
this life.  Heather was very strict with her diet and exercise to help
protect Emma and prevent complications in birth.   When Heather’s sugar was high she would exercise and was fortunate to see immediate results.   Then, ultimately we see the beautiful end result featured in this blog!    

Emma is certainly surrounded by a great deal of love and I’m pretty sure Lola’s curiosity will soon give way to great love for this little one…even if it’s after an appropriate bit of sadness for having been replaced as the only baby in the family!
