Peanut

Teresa and Bruce couldn’t be more excited to welcome the arrival of their little boy who they are affectionately calling Peanut for now.   Something tells me that nickname will follow him beyond the womb!  Bear or Bearsie as Teresa likes to call him, knows something is up, but isn’t quite sure what’s about to change.  He seems to sense that something big is about to happen and his tired soul is holding on to make sure he doesn’t miss it. 

Bear is almost 17 years old!   So as you can imagine, this image is very special to Teresa as he’s walked through a lot of life with her over the past 17 years. 

Bruce has been a fire fighter for over 30 years and is a captain in the fire marshal’s office, but his real passion is studying law.  He will graduate in December with a BS in legal studies and a minor in fire science.  You can guess what he reads to their Peanut in the evenings!  This baby is going to be the most well versed baby in the American judicial system ever born!  How cool to see Bruce’s passion for sharing his love with his son already!  Not to mention how cool it is to see him taking on this new endeavor as he prepares to wind down his fire fighting career.

Teresa told me how important these photos were to her, because this baby represents the sweet reality to a long awaited dream.    She and Bruce have been eager to start the next chapter of their lives together with a child of their own for the last 8 years.  Their home is blessed with a strong, loving and supportive marriage and they longed to share this with a child of their own.  What better gift could you give a child!?  God’s timing was different from what they would have planned, but perfect none the less.  So, after 8 years you can imagine the joyful celebration when Teresa found out she was pregnant.   You can look forward to Peanut’s newborn session in just a few weeks!
