Szerlips

The Szerlip family joined me for family portraits while on a trip ‘home’ to Maryland.  Kathy is a powerhouse of make it happen who knows how to pull the most out of every minute she’s given.  So while in town from Michigan she arranged to come to my studio, wheeling a suitcase behind her, to have family portraits created.  Last time we created family portraits together, their daughter Riley was just 4 months old and she’s 3 now, so Kathy was more than ready to chronicle this next phase of her and Nick’s life together.

My studio grounds offer plenty of room for kids to run and play year round and this becomes a precious part of our collection.  Eian was eager to show me his soccer and hockey tricks while Riley danced around pretending she was a fairy as any little girl would do when presented with a pair of wings! 😉

When we created portraits last time, since Riley was only 4 months old, we never had an opportunity to create a romantic couple collection.   This is just something I love to do since THIS is why the family exists…two people fall in love and create these beautiful children.  So, when the session allows, I pull mom and dad aside to celebrate the love they’ve created together.  Thrilled we could do this for Nick and Kathy this time!   A visual reminder that two demanding surgical careers, two kids and too many things on the ‘to do’ list every single day has not trumped the love that brought them together!   May the smiles from these beauties on your walls abound every day in your home!
