Welcome Bodie

“For this child I have prayed.”  That’s the verse that has echoed in Tim and Ivy’s minds since they found out they were expecting baby Bodie.  He is a blessing that came as a surprise to them after so many years of waiting.  The Lord’s timing is often unpredictable but teaches us to trust Him along the way.

Gavin couldn’t be happier with having a little brother.  He’s waited just as long as Tim and Ivy have!  He is quick to help soothe Bodie, to help with bottles and binkies and give abundant kisses.  He celebrates Bodie’s addition to the Gifford family when he snuggles into his Momma while she’s feeding Bodie.  He looks forward to the games they’ll play together and most especially is hopeful that Bodie will play lacrosse someday!

Bodie’s arrival was not without unwanted excitement that showed the Lord’s hand of protection upon him.  Ivy was on bedrest for the last several weeks of her pregnancy and then was in a car accident weeks prior to delivery.  They are ever so thankful that they were protected through that tumultuous last few weeks.  The Giffords are ready for quite days of summer to settle into their new routine and take in long Sundays at their pond. 

So welcome baby Bodie, your smile lights up the room and you are soooo loved little man!
