No one ever promised us that motherhood would be a walk in the park…it doesn’t take too long before most of us realize how ill equipped we are to face the parenting conundrums that arise daily. Then there are moms who rise up and take those challenges and model how to turn them into prayer which quickly transforms into praise. Julie is one of those moms.
I’ve been front row and center while I’ve watched her thank God for the blessings of her three babies…just so happens I’ve also created portraits for her as she welcomed each new blessing. Julie was unsure that she would even be able to have one baby, so she is very aware of the hand of blessing in her and Matt’s life as they have grown their little family.
That doesn’t mean that the Lord’s blessing translates to a road of ease. Quite the opposite. In fact, He said, “In this world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.” Julie knows He is teaching her to know Him in her complete dependence on Him to raise these babies to know the Lord in their whole journey. He’s interested in developing our holiness and transforming us into the likeness of His Son. That comes from a lifetime of journey with Him.
So we take this blog to introduce the Kumpar’s newest blessing, baby Benjamin. His big sisters adore him and are eager to help be a 2nd and 3rd mommy to their little brother. May you always know the love your family has for you, I pray, Benjamin all the days of your life!
