It’s easy to see JDP senior Tyler’s athleticism in his portrait gallery. His work ethic and love of the game compels him to train himself as a basketball player just about everyday of his life. He hopes to play ball in college and his eyes are on the prize. Watching him on the court of Westminster basketball games, it’s clear he helps to bring leadership and dedication to the game.
What those who haven’t watched him grow up from childhood won’t know, is what a great all around guy Tyler is. His kindness and generosity are hallmarks of what beats deeply in the heart of this young man.
The Snyders are family friends to my family for the last 7 years, so I’ve watched first hand as Tyler has taken the protector role for his little brother and sister. He doesn’t shy away from stepping into the challenges his brother and sister face with their juvenile diabetes or Downs Syndrome. Instead the Lord has grown compassion in him and a kindness that is rare and beautiful and a continual blessing to the Snyder family.
Tyler’s strong faith has been a guide post for his life. His faith gives meaning to this crazy life, which then propels him into service for others in need. He’s participated in mission trips to Detroit, South Carolina and Kentucky to help with construction projects. His mom and dad have cheered him on, poured into him and coached him along every step of the way and they should be very proud of this young man! Can’t wait to see what your future holds Tyler!!
