Those who know Tommy, know him as a painter by day and strength builder by night. He grew up in the weight room and then backed off for years as an adult, until a friend requested his assistance in training for a strength competition.
The friend, unfortunately, was injured and had to step back from competition. However, a fire was lit in Tommy to take his own fitness goals to the next level and begin to compete. Tommy is 43 and as his wife Melanie says, ‘is in the best shape of his life’ from his power lifting training. While creating strength portraits I told Tommy–‘I’m getting flashbacks of the Incredible Hulk from my childhood, wanna light you that way?’ He was game!
This commitment to strength building has led to Tommy being named strongest man in his class in MD and third strongest in the nation!!! Melanie has even thrown her hat in the ring as well for lifting competitions! Now that’s a power couple!
