Drewbie

Drewbie is his Momma’s boy.  Many of you may recognize his Momma–Sara, my studio manager.  Drewbie is her sweet little guy with a giant heart and a wild imagination.  His ponderings will likely be in a book or movie some day and I can’t wait to see!

I’ve been working on composite portrait work in the last several months and knew who my first subject was going to be!  Composite work is sometimes about bringing a dream to life and I thought of this little dreamer right away!

The little boy with a smile and imagination that goes on for miles.  The little boy who dreams of sharing his candy with a polar bear!  (which is kind of a big deal for a kid whose pretty obsessed with all things sweet–think of the Elf–that’s Drew!) The little boy who comes up from his basement for dinner with a toy hammer in hand exclaiming, “I had to pound through 50 feet of earth to get to you Momma!”

I wanted to create a piece that encapsulized Drewbie’s wild imagination and the very fleeting little boy he is before young man begins to quickly take over.

Like most little boys, Drewbie needed this time to be active and engaging, so that’s just what we did!  All with the goal of producing the first piece you see in this blog!  The rest were a sweet bonus!

Keep dreaming big little man, the world needs more dreamers with big hearts!

These pictures are great. What a cutie he is and when his dad was little, he looked like that.
