About once a month a very happy client pulls me aside and says something along the lines of, “you’re still gonna be here when her brother is a senior, right!?”
I get it, they’ve seen a lot of photographers come and go. I assure them I will be. But, it’s led me to pursue professional advice for long term studio management to make sure I can be.
What I’ve learned is that I have done some of you a disservice by encouraging the path of least resistance with digital collections. I get it, I present big gorgeous galleries and say, ‘digital is a no brainer.’ Some of you have shared your regret with me that most of those amazing portraits never left your thumb drives.
Your portraits are not junk, they are your precious treasures. Yet it’s too easy for a thumb drive to end up in a junk drawer in the busyness of life. In years to come, when we celebrate the people we love, you cannot frame a thumb drive. So as a full service studio, we are excited about our new focus to serve you better.
Will we still offer digital? Yes, we absolutely know how importrant it is for you to be able to share your files on line with loved ones. We will offer free web sharing files, with my logo, of portraits that have been purchased in gallery walls, albums, wall pieces, prints, etc. And we will take care of all your print needs.
We will do a better job of helping you select your favorites and desiging your walls using pictures of your actual home so you see exactly what the portrait will look like. We will continue to produce pieces in print that wow you and will be treasured by future generations. We look forward to serving you with joy, creativity and excellence!
