I know what you are thinking–she looks like a firefighter I know! Talk about a girl who breaks the mold! Karly is a firefighter, an EMT and a cheerleader. Now that’s a combination you certainly don’t hear everyday!
Karly’s eyes are on the prize for all she wants to accomplish in her life. She has already been a part of reviving several overdose victims in our county. She’s stood in the gap between life and death for so many people already–that’s pretty amazing for a high school kid! She has also recently graduated with her next level of firefighting…so she can enter homes on fire! This is one brave girl who runs to the disaster when everyone else is running away.
Karly was the winner of the senior portrait session and package we were gifting to a senior who gives back to her community. She was selected from all the entries we received because of her hard work ethic and her rescue service in the community. A client of mine, anonymously gifted 250 to be put towards any of our “Giving Back” corner causes we contribute to and share about in our monthly newsletter. This client wanted me to contribute wherever I felt led and shared how much she enjoys reading the newsletter every month. I decided to keep the giving going and gift a senior girl with a portrait package. I asked for nominations from the community!

This client told me she looks forward to enjoying the newsletter every with a glass of wine and wanted to be a part of our philanthropic vision. I decided to keep the giving going and gift a senior girl with a portrait package. I asked for nominations, for a girl who wouldn’t have a chance for senior portraits otherwise.
What made this whole thing even sweeter was that the nomination came from one of our current JDP senior models–Kasey Barnes! Kasey’s nomination was the only one we received from another high school senior. How cool that Kasey wanted her friend to share in the experience she had for her senior portraits! Kasey said, “there’s no experience like having Jennifer DiDio create your senior portaits!” Kasey even came to assist on Karly’s session!
Such a great time with these girls!! Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you, cheer you on and lift you up through this life…that’s a lesson these young women learned early!
