JDP senior Erin

Blog followers may recognize the beautiful JDP senior Erin who is one of JDP models.  Her senior portrait experience reveals the kind princess who could be featured on a Cinderella movie poster, the cool girl so many know and love, and the tough competitor on the court.

My favorite thing in creating portraits for our JDP seniors is showing them various facets of their lives captured in portraits.  Erin loved the idea of creating a fairy tale feel fine art piece (my favorite!) along with the more contemporary sides of herself.  She was a joy to create with!

I’ve gotten to know Erin and her mom Cheryl through her time in the JDP senior model program.  They have a really unique relationship that’s pretty special.  Cheryl really wanted Erin to have this opportunity for portraits with me and get to experience the model program.  She worked really hard to make sure she could do that for her girl.  She knows portraits have a way of increasing in value to us as time passes, especially when one of the key players is Erin’s best friend Jack who is 16!

Cheryl started crying during the movie presentation of Erin’s portraits and said, ‘this may sound corny, but you are just so darn pretty Erin!’  She saw Erin’s outer beauty captured on screen, but she knows of her inner beauty that shines quickly in her shy smile and quick laugh and graciousness.

Erin’s been pulling double duty with working full time over the summer while she helps her mom whose in recovery from a foot injury.  Erin’s been quick to step in and fill the space where mom needs help.  She’s not a complainer, she’s a doer!  It’s been a joy to create for you Erin!
