Waterfall Love

I’m still not quite sure how I convinced Robin to enter the waterfall with Andrew, but I’m sure glad I did (and so are they!).  Anyone who knows Robin, knows she is perpetually cold, like dead of summer and you’ll find her in a sweater kind of cold.  And I’m perpetually warm so I could easily have underestimated how cold the waterfall I created would be at the tale end of summer!

I try to always remind my clients that flexibility is the most important thing to keep in mind while we are creating.  Originally Robin gifted Andrew with a portrait time to capture his passion of drumming.  We discussed ideas for his shoot and I mentioned that I had created a waterfall I was incorporating into portraits with athletes and dancers.  Robin was intrigued.

I suggested we consider the possibility of Andrew drumming on stage and in the waterfall.  She loved the idea.  Hours before Andrew’s session I thought, ‘wouldn’t it be cool to have them as a couple in the waterfall as well.  BUT, I knew Robin subjecting herself to cold water, on a cold night was highly unlikely.  Lo and behold, much so my surprise, she stepped up to the challenge and we created pieces both Robin and Andrew fell in love with. Their gallery makes them smile every day as they pass them on their walls!  Kudos guys–true champs!!  Blog followers may remember Robin from her gifted Unveil your Cinderella portrait time last year.
