Yup, you are seeing correctly! During his pre-consult meeting, JDP senior Matthew mentioned that he had a ball python named Percy. My wheels started spinning! I had a vision for what you see above and Matthew loved it! I just love that awesome ideas like above come about from really getting to know a client during the planning meeting. Guys often think senior portraits involve them standing by trees. Sure we can do that, but oh man can we do so much more. Interested in a senior session for your senior? For me as creator, it’s really about specializing to create custom pieces for each client that wow and surprise them. Thankfully those ideas just keep coming! 
Matthew attends Loyola Blakefield and he was a member of the cyber security team that won at the National level competition. So we created a piece for him to remember and celebrate that.
And like just about every guy his age, he’s pretty fascinated by gaming, so how appropriate he should always remember this. We joked he’ll tell his kids one day, ‘we had to wear headphones and hold bulky controllers when I was a kid!’
You’ve likely heard the expression, ‘still waters run deep’. Well that’s Matthew. He’s a quiet reflective young man who surprised me over and over again with his varied interests. He’s this interesting blend of the arts and sciences in his strengths and passions. He credits his mom with encouraging him to branch out and try new things while also staying active. This means you are just as likely to find Matthew donning his black belt in the karate studio as you are to find him on a tennis court. 
He has a love of film and thinks he might write a screen play some day. He’s a musician and taking singing lessons. He enjoys creating with digital media and hopes that although he will likely be pursing an engineering degree at University of Maryland, that writing will be a big part of his career. What an awesome combination of talents and interests! Something tells me Matthew is never bored!
While I was dragging out apple boxes to use in Matthew’s posing, he joked, “what do you want me to sit on the top of all those?” “Well, now I do!” I said. Every single session has some new lighting combo, some new pose…here was Matthew’s! Want a senior session that reflects what you love in life?
