Happy Mother’s Day! Every year I honor my clients from the previous year on Mother’s Day with a gallery featuring a favorite portrait. This gallery is dedicated to the women out there who take the big and the small under their wings of care. To the women who do their best to try to hide how exhausted they are by the demands of all those in their charge. To the women who wake through the wee hours of the night to provide the reassurance their littles cry out for. To the women who laugh heartily, when they could just as easily cry. To the women racing across town for one more game when what they really need is sleep. To the women who feel like an Uber and short order cook, but work to break down the walls the teen years so expertly build. To the women who make the tough decisions that break their heart, but know are for the best. To the women who find themselves in the parenting journey all over again as they reverse roles with their own failing parents. To you I say, Happy Mother’s Day and keep on keepin’ on dear one! May we all cheer each other on in our journeys and be the soft spot to land for each other!
