JDP jr. Peyton

Meet JDP jr. Peyton.  Peyton’s mom Kelly has followed my work for a while, all the while dreaming about what her son would be like in his own JDP senior portraits.  Then she saw JDP senior Christian, who also attends Boys Latin, featured on our blog, and her wheels began to spin.   “Do I have to wait till my son’s a senior to do this?” she asked.

Of course not!  But after she asked, we noticed a trend was developing.  As our JDP senior line exploded, more and more parents began reaching out to have their middle schoolers covered JDP style.  These years are marked by soooo much change and they are often the unrecorded/forgotten years in a child’s life. So recently we launched JDP jr. to give 5-8th graders, a taste of the JDP senior experience.  Peyton will be one of our JDP jr. models as well so you may be seeing him over the next year!  Interested in your own JDP jr. portrait experience?    We are happy to chat with you, if you click here.

Mom and Dad were so excited when they realized we could do something like this for Peyton.  They knew they wanted the deluxe experience, complete with a professionally produced video to document the experience.  Here’s a 10 second preview clip of the video coming in the near future.  We broke Peyton’s session into a winter/summer time and the changes in just 6 months in Peyton were startling.  Kelly mentioned, “you noted how cool it would be to see the difference between 7th to 12th grade when you create for his senior portraits…look at how big a change there’s been just in 6 months!”

Peyton was a trooper as he laid it all out for each of our set ups.  He held nothing back as he collaborated to capture what is most important to him at this stage of life.  His love lax and football, the campus store where he spends his free time, and The Flash.  Maybe it’s because I have 3 teenage sons myself…but I know that in a flash Peyton will shed the remnants of little boy and be a larger than life young man.  How cool that this is captured for his family to always enjoy!  The full video by Wise Films will be coming in the next few weeks.  The next time we create a portrait of Kelly and Peyton walking off a field he will certainly be towering over her.  That will be here in a Flash!
