JDP senior Eli

Meet JDP senior Eli!  This kid is fierce in the goal for the Liberty High Lions, but to meet him you’d never guess the fierceness that lies within him because you’ll be quickly disarmed by his quick smile and wit.   He knows how important these portrait collection is to his mom who has been such an awesome cheerleader and client for my studio over the years. Hope is an avid hobbyist and was thrilled to watch the behind the scenes of Eli’s portrait creation.   Looking for senior portraits, click here to contact us!

I’m always amazed by lax goalies–I ask them the same question, “how do you deal with that hard ball being winged straight at you!?!”  He just shrugged and said, “I don’t know.  I don’t really think I think about it.  I’m just playing the game.”

Eli is pretty fearless in the goal.  It seems his determination to keep the ball out of his box takes over any concerns for his own well being.  He suffered a concussion, surprisingly not from a game, but from an indoor practice.  He took a ball to the side of his head, with such impact that it left the imprint of the ball on the side of his head!  The ball was able to make contact around the helmet openings!  This did not deter him from staying the course as a goalie.

So how appropriate that we would spend a part of Eli’s session on the fields where his best lacrosse memories have been made, Liberty High School.  So awesome to be able to incorporate this new mural as well!

Eli’s dad met us at the fields to wing balls at him to simulate game situations.  His speed was impressive and the stops even more so.  We all got a work out on this hot day!  I love that we’ve locked down Eli doing his thing in ways that he and his family love after watching him play all these years!

I wish you all the best Eli and can’t wait to see what your future holds!  If you are interested in your own senior session, we would love to chat with you.  Click here to contact us.
