JDP senior Abby

If JDP senior Abby looks familiar to blog followers it’s because her sister Riley was just here two years ago.  I love having a chance to create for families with each milestone that celebrate!  And seriously the family doesn’t get any sweeter than the Sheltons!

The girls of this family know how to laugh together and celebrate one another in such a tender way.  Riley and Erin were both there to cheer on Abby throughout her shoot.  Riley was so nostalgic and missed her time as a JDP senior, but was also equally excited for Abby to have her turn.

Abby is this awesome blend of whimsy and determination who laughs easily but has a deeply serious side to herself as well.  The academic side of Abby is compelled to keep straight A’s with her rigorous course load.  She’s never had a B!  Then she has a chance to lay that seriousness aside when she helps to teach pre-school as part of her school day, which she adores tremendously.  She comes by that love of learning and teaching from her mom Erin who is notably one of the best and most loved teachers in the area.

Abby also finds inspiration in fashion and adores following Met Gala trends.  She’s eager to see the creativity in motion on the run ways!  We’ve invited Abby to be a JDP senior model, so I foresee a very editorial creation for her in the future!  And yet for all this love of glitz and glam, Abby’s also compelled by the peace found in nature where you might find her photographing or journaling.

Abby’s faith as a Christian is a defining factor in her life.  She had just returned from Young Life camp when we had her session, famously known as the ‘best week of your life’ for the experience the kids have.  Her desire to have her faith intersect and marry up to her everyday life is a life long process that’s she’s excited to be on the journey to discover.  The Lord is precious to her and she desires to know Him more through each phase of her life.  May He bless you and keep you as you discover the depths of His great love for you Abby!
