My Top 10ish of 2019

Every year…every year I debate for hours making this Top 10ish!  I could easily pick 3 portraits from every session that stick with me long after the creating is done. A session isn’t done until amazing has been pulled from it.  The portraits featured here have had me thinking about them, a lot, through this year.  They come to me at the oddest of times. There was often a tremendous amount of energy poured into creating these, on the client end and mine as well.  People often ask–“where do you get all your ideas?”  Creation like this requires collaboration.  We cast a vision together and then worked tirelessly to bring it to life (in the midst of lots of other set ups!)  It looks effortless here, that’s the goal! 😉

What fuels this creative process?  That’s easy–seeing a client radiate with joy when they see themselves as a work of art!  Often it’s something they have never seen in themselves-how cool is that?!?!  Thank you to all the JDP clients a million times over for trusting me to show you this in custom portraits! And thank you to the loyal blog followers who cheer me on!  You are all appreciated more than you know! xo
