JDP senior Brooke

JDP senior Brooke came to her pre-consult planning meeting with the most prepared mom I’ve had yet!  Heidi’s been envisioning these gorgeous portraits of her sweet girl for a long time and her excitement was palpable.  She had sample inspirations to draw from from classically elegant, with her grandmother as a sample, to moody modern.  Click here to inquire about your own custom portraits.

Brooke is an athletic  tank top and shorts girl all summer long.  She started in cheer years ago and found when she tried field hockey that it was a much better match for her.  It allowed her to get dirty, knock people out and the intensity of the game offered a release for anger.  I hear this a lot from athletes.  Cheer was over for her and she never looked back.  She’s been going strong in field hockey for 6 years now.  She came to studio wearing a Shippensburg field hockey tank top–my alma mater!;)

Brooke’s family is a traveling one and Brooke is adventure loving.  They’ve been to the 4 corners of the US and are especially fans of Disney.  Although Brooke hates to wear dresses, she loved the ones she chose and brought and tolerated them for her portraits.  I told her now she has herself locked down looking amazing in more dresses than she’ll likely wear in the next 10 years!  She agreed. 😉

Brooke’s favorite spot her family has traveled to so far has been the Grand Canyon.  Something about the expansiveness of it is hard to put into words and inspires the imagination.

Brooke is the animal whisperer, but unfortantely her beloved Bernese Mountain dog Miles wasn’t able to join us or her duck Biggee.  She has a way with animals that soothes and calms them and they always seem to love her.

Brooke’s mom knew she wanted portraits with our Russian artisan handmade wings.  She was tagging into this portrait of Brooke as a baby and seeing her baby ready to launch into life as a young woman…oh the life cycles swirl by in the blink of an eye with our children.

Brooke liked the idea of some of the moody lighting setups her mom brought as inspiration.  Her mom brought the inspirations and excitement but her dad brought the priceless reactions during their view and choose.  Brooke kept looking over checking on him as she watched his father heart just melt to pieces.  His grin was so sweet and he was so proud of his girl.  This was his beautiful girl and he was in awe…really precious.

Brooke always remember the sky’s the limit as you reach for your dreams and take on life with fierce determination that you bring to the field!
