My fellow children of the 80’s may see in Dylan the Jeff Spicoli character played by Sean Penn in the infamous Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The adorable surfer dude who cracked us all up throughout the movie with his antics. 
JDP senior Dylan has played football, lacrosse, basketball, baseball and track and field through the years, but his main love is football for sure. He’s a corner and a receiver and started playing in high school at Winters Mill. As it so often goes, it was friends who convinced him to try 7 on 7 years ago and he was hooked.

Football offers a healthy release for the anger of life and he gets to make incredible memories on the field with his best buds.

For the guy who loves the smashing high energy of the football and lax fields, he also enjoys the quiet solitude of a great day spent fishing…from early in the morning till late at night as the sun is going down. A time to reflect and be restored by the beauty of God’s creation.

Dylan is in the career tech program for Cisco and hopes to continue this path in college. In fact, he recently heard the good news that he will be doing so at his beloved West Virginia University.
Dylan’s got a big smile and heart to match that his mom was so thrilled to see locked down in his portraits. She beamed widely and the tears of joy flowed freely. I didn’t 100% get it until I had my first senior 2 years ago. Now I do…:)
Dylan brought this awesome vintage flag to his session and I loved the feel it added to his formal portraits. I have been loving the show of patriotism from so many of our JDP seniors. I’m sensing a strong trend in these young adults that our country isn’t perfect, but she’s ours and we are proud to call her our own.
