JDP senior Sarah Tate traveled all the way from Raleigh, North Carolina for her JDP senior portrait experience. She joins the growing number of JDP seniors we are servicing who are traveling more than just a few hours for their portraits. We could not be more honored!

Traveling from far away means some things are done a little differently. Instead of having an in person pre consult with wardrobe try on, we conduct it via zoom. Clients then bring several of their own favorite outfits and if they find something the day of their shoot in our wardrobe closet (which Sarah Tate did) then we incorporate them into their session.
Sarah Tate is quite an accomplished young woman of the south full of the grace, charm and ‘yes mams’ the south is known for. Her spirit is full of laughter and gentleness for everyone she meets. She’s the senior class president and has held that presidency for 3 years! She’s a member of National Honor Society, varsity volleyball, APTA (animal protection treatment awareness) and Equity Team. Equity Team hosts a fair every semester to promote maturity in young adults.
Of all these, her role in student council is most important to her and where she vests the most time. Her school hosts an overnighter for freshman orientation which has made for a great bonding experience and loads of awesome memories. And the dance competitions they host are a blast as well.

Sarah Tate has a very active faith in Jesus that has been foundational for her life. She’s very involved at Trinity Baptist Church which is a home away from home for her. Her youth group meets weekly and she’s involved in small group that allows for deeper connection, accountability and intimacy while growing in her faith. She’s also a singer in the praise band “A for J”: All for Jesus.

Sarah Tate believes that life should be lived on a mission to impact the world with the love of God. She has gone to Kentucky for mission trips to help the elderly. She’s pretty pumped for an upcoming mission trip to Hawaii to lead a vacation Bible school.
Sarah Tate is brave in a way soo rare to find in young women. She was a part of something called Teens Westward Bound this last summer. She joined 60 kids she did not know to camp for one month in 22 states! They traveled in a charter bus and van across the west to explore. They hiked and explored the Grand Canyon, Tetons, Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Mount Rushmore. She loved it and it was an experience of a lifetime…all because she was brave!

Sarah Tate is an avid reader…not quite sure when she manages to fit this in with her incredibly packed schedule. However, when she does she loves getting lost in a big story. That’s the beauty of the written word, it takes us places we will never go and makes us feel as though we are right there!
Sarah Tate has played volleyball for years and loves it! She’s played for her school and club teams and even beach volleyball. She loves it in every form!

This brave girl has a heart of gold that’s readily apparent to anyone who spends just a few minutes with her. She exudes a kindness and graciousness that is a rare and precious jewel to behold. Anyone doing life with this young woman is bound to be blessed by that!
