JDP senior Aubrey is eyes on the prize for the path she’s setting for her future! She is working towards getting her pilot’s license. She’s been inspired by her dad who began his career as a pilot in the Navy and today is a commercial airline pilot. Her grandfather also had his pilot’s license.

Aubrey wanted to include her dad’s flight jacket in her session and what a perfect addition it was. Her mom and dad worked together to secure us a spot at the local Carroll County Airport to lock down her love of flight. Thanks to all the gentlemen who helped us bring Aubrey’s dream to reality for her senior session! Thank you for lending your planes, your time and your expertise to make this happen!

Aubrey is in love with the exhilaration of flight. She recognizes it should be scary, but to her it is simply invigorating.
Is there anything as incredible as a redhead in green?!?
Aubrey is headed to Air Force Academy in just a few days. She also plans to study engineering, chemical or mechanical and hopes to use her degree and flying ability to serve people in need. She especially hopes to fly humanitarian aid in the future.
Aubrey’s love of dance has taken many forms since she started at just 3 years old. She most appreciates the escape that dance offers during the stressors of life. Worries take a back seat when she moves with the music.

Aubrey’s dad started in the Navy, but she’ll start in the Air Force. She’s been training herself physically by competing in triathlons and running Cross Country at River Hill.
Aubrey is equally fond of the arts. She’s a serious musician who plays piano since she was 6, violin and most recently she’s added guitar and percussion. The violin featured here was her grandmother’s that has been restored. This was especially important to Aubrey’s mom since her mom is no longer with us.

We knew how lovely it would be to have Aubrey play outside, but Aubrey wasn’t sure about the violin being outdoors. I have since learned how delicate and temperamental instruments like violins can be when subjected to temperature/humidity changes. We kept this treasure outside for just a few minutes to lock down this spritely beauty.

Aubrey is massive lover of music and she’s a Swifty who recently saw Taylor in concert. She was all grins as she spoke about it.
Aubrey’s love for vinyl was such a cool element to lock down in portrait! Oh the memories she’ll share with her loved ones as time marches along and she looks back!
Aubrey is a fierce competitor! That’s going to serve her well as she approaches basic training in a few days! It’s served her well as an athlete, a musician and in her love of dance. She’s vested in all of these things to pull out the excellence that she’s trained to achieve.
Aubrey was one of our last class of 2024’s this year. Still a few more coming to our blog. I’ve noticed a theme with a few of the moms. They’ve raised these precious and fierce souls who they don’t want to let go of…so they waited as long as possible. (fortunately we are a year round JDP senior session creator–we’ve got you mamas!). Yet, Heidi like others, knows it’s time for her baby to spread her wings to fly. Aubrey, I hope you always remember how your mom teared up during your session and cheered you on every step of the way!
These photos are wonderful memories to share with the family. As Aubrey’s grandparents, Fred and I are so proud of our wonderful granddaughter and everything she has achieved in her 17 years. Many thanks to the talented Jennifer Didio for the beautiful pictures.
Thanks for your sweet words! We know how proud you must feel of your sweet girl!! Aubrey is one of a kind!!:)
