JDP senior senior Christian

JDP senior senior Christian is preparing to wrap up his last semester at Auburn University with a mechanical engineering degree. As a little boy, Christian was the kid who was forever taking apart his toys and recreating them in new ways. It’s so crazy to see your child figure out a better/faster design for a toy and then see this realized as his one day career 15 years later.

Likely Christian will work in industrial engineering since his giftedness lies in finding problems in design and then designing a solution for them. Don’t we all need that in life!?! He had an internship once that charged him to “rip this thing apart and tell me everything that’s wrong with it.” My pleasure! Maybe his older brother, former JDP senior Jameson, wasn’t so happy when he’d do this to the train track configurations he’d make! But, it was all part of the grooming on a design engineer!

This inventiveness has led Christian to procure a few patents already! He’s gained experience working with a patent attorney as well. He’s designed a towing mechanism that he’s hoping to find a company to get it into production. Working in industrial setting, he was able to shave 12 minutes off the runtime to a 40 minute process!

Christian dreams of owning his own business one day and living on a self sufficient ranch where he can ride horses, hunt, and invent! When we explored the studio grounds in his gilly suit, he smelled the mud he wiped on his face to ensure it was not potentially harmful.

Snowboarding is a passion of Christian’s as well. He enjoys wrapping a day on the mountain in the kitchen making lobster tortellini from scratch! This guy is learning how to be self sufficient in every aspect!

Christian’s mom has watched her boys create, wrestle, game, hunt, etc. their whole lives. Christian and Jameson both share a love for the Star Wars story and were pretty pumped over the lightsabers their mom got them each!

Sadly, here’s where our story takes a turn none of us expected. Triton has been Christian’s rescue dog for the last two years. Unfortunately, Triton has passed away suddenly a few weeks after this portrait time. These two adored each other tremendously and the gaping hole Triton has left won’t be easily filled for Christian.

Christian we wish you all the best as you venture out in the world of what’s possible! We pray for your broken heart to mend in time as you look back in gratitude over all the memories you’ve made with Triton!
