JDP senior Ethan loves football in a way that encompasses literally everything about the game. This young man lives and breathes it like few young men I have ever met.

Ethan’s been playing since he was in kindergarden. He’s a defensive end and and offensive guard. He loves the intensity of the game and pretty much anytime he gets to be on the field and of course watching it. He knows all the stats and studies the game like there’s an exam coming. He has a photographic memory, so all this studied content is locked in his vault of a mind.
This love of sports runs deep in his household. At a family function, a Clemson Notre Dame game was on. Ethan’s grandmom was hosting the family and she’s a Notre Dame fan. She informed Ethan that any Clemson fans should leave…she was having a rough time with the 34-3 score.

Ethan palns to major in business management with a focus on economics. His eventual plan is to be a manager for a football team. He’s thought this through and has a plan in place.
When Ethan’s not on the football fields, you’ll find him pursuing one of his other sports that he loves. In track and field he throws shot put, discus and javelin. He is intrigued with watching the direct correlation of practice time paying off into more distance in his throws in a way that is so directly measurable. Ethan also plays basketball.

Ethan’s a hunter and a fisherman as well. This gun was built by his grandfather and connecting the generations in portrait is one of my favorite ways to honor the lives that have built into our JDP seniors.
Ethan’s a huge NFL, NHL and MLB fan. Amazingly this young man has stats for all these sports locked away in his mind and is able to recall at a moment’s notice. He’s a Steelers and Penguins fan with the jerseys to prove it.

This fierce competitor on the fields and courts is a kind soul outside the whistle to whistle. His impressive stature is likely intimidating to most people he meets, but it doesn’t take long talking to Ethan to know he’s a great kid with an easy adorable smile.
