I met JDP senior Addyson a few years ago when creating for her big sister, former JDP senior Meghan. Meghan was hoping to warm her little sister up to the idea of a custom portrait session. She warned me Addyson was not a shopper and nor did she have any interest in clothes, hair or make up. Addyson is far more comfortable on fields and courts than she is in a mall or salon.

Addyson was skeptical the JDP senior experience would be a match for her, but she loved what we created for Meghan soooooo. She decided to trusted us and we are so grateful! It meant we got to link arms with one of our favorite families again! To know the Ruths is to love the Ruths!
I enjoyed my time with Addyson so much. This young woman is fierce in her athletic pursuits, her love of the Lord and her love of family and country. She knows how to get down to business and bring her passion to the life before her.

Addyson is a year round athlete for Westminster High. She plays field hockey, basketball and tennis; however, field hockey is her absolute favorite. She’s a member of a pickleball club during her flex mod during her school day. She is a girl on the move and has no plans to change that about herself.
Addyson loves tennis for it’s power and force, especially in playing doubles at the net. She’s invigorated by the switching up to ensure there’s no weak spot on the court. Watching her simulate her athletic endeavors in studio, I learned very quickly–I would not want to be on the other side of her at the net!

Although last year was Addyson’s first year of tennis, she and her friend Ava won the championship! Addyson has played basketball for 12 years and enjoys the fast pace and physicality of the game. She can be counted on to be the loud cheerleader for her teammates, especially when they beat their rival FSK last year at the county championship!

Addyson has played field hockey for the last 3 years as a defensive player. Playing on turf is her favorite! The speed of the game increases and consequently the intensity of the game. This is Addyson’s sweet spot! She fondly remembers their regionals win.

Addyson’s in a family full of love and humor and she’s very close with her dad. Including her dad’s truck was a vision she had for her portrait time and he was happy to oblige!

Addyson is sphynx. Here’s a girl who has never been into hair and makeup; however, she attends Career Tech for the cosmetology program. This shocked her whole family (and I’m guessing just about everyone who does life with her)! Now she’s considering pursuing it as a career! She will graduate as a fully licensed cosmetologist this spring!

Addyson is a leader wherever she goes. Her faith has compelled her to join Young Life which she has loved for all the relationships that have helped to grow her faith. Addyson you are a treasure!
