Carly had no idea it was coming.  There she was standing in San Francisco on the Golden Gate Bridge when her boyfriend of 3 years dropped down on one knee to propose!   Carly was in shock and turned around in disbelief.  Her mom was on the trip with her standing back in the wings recording the whole engagement on her phone….we have uploaded the link found at the bottom of the blog!

The answer was yes, a resounding yes!   Now the nervousness she had noticed in Curvin was all making sense!  Here she blamed it on the psycho cab driver doing 60 mph on the narrow winding roads marked 25mph!

Carly and Curvin found each other 3 years ago while working at Bill Bateman’s.   They started as friends and Carly soon realized she wanted to take their relationship to the next level, so she gave Curvin her number and then waited for THREE days—no call…no text….awkward!   She saw him at work, or I should say, tried to not see him at work the next time they were there together.  That night he called.  And so begins the dance that would be the beginning of their love story!

(btw—if you ask Curvin, he’ll insist he made the first move!  Carly knows differently!)

Carly said she never asked Curvin why he waited three days, so I did while we were on their session! 😉  He didn’t want seem like a creeper!   Aww! 

Their dating relationship was 4 months in and both were falling hard—but both had plans to head in opposite directions.  Curvin had signed up for the Army and Carly had applied to several schools away from home.  They struggled with what the next step held for them but as fate would have it, Curvin was given a medical discharge from the military from a back injury from dirt bike racing years earlier.   So Carly decided to go to school locally. 

Carly asked her dad to help get Curvin a job at the BGE branch he manages.  Her dad was cautious but agreed.  Since that day Curvin has one of the best employee records of any person who has ever worked for him.  Good move Curvin!

Our session was a marathon session and these two were total champs through the whole time!  They were on deck not just to celebrate their engagement, but also to be models for some upcoming local promotional materials for Shipley’s Fine Jewelry in Hampstead. 

Owner, Seth Shipley, is ready to renovate his interior décor and has been a fan of C A P T U R E D images for a while now!  He decided he wanted to have some of his clients on the walls of his shop and knew he wanted that done in a C A P T U R E D style.  Look for these two to be gracing Shipley’s Fine Jewelry walls in the coming months!
