Once kids come
into your life, it’s hard to imagine your
life without them.  When Amanda and John first
met, they never really imagined themselves as parents.  Having their own
children was the last thing
on their ‘to do’ list.  Amanda was
terrified of all the medical procedures that accompany childbirth.  If
needles were involved, she was out.  It was just not for her.

Until after 3 years of marriage and suddenly the desire to
have a baby started taking seed.  Then
that seed began to take root.  Thus begin
the Robinson’s 4 ½ year journey to the joy you see before them now. 

Joel and Jadon are the reward of a long fought struggle to
have a baby.  Sometimes that struggle
ends in double blessing!  Dr. Melissa
Esposito, at Shady Grove, worked with the Robinsons for years.  The woman who
hates medical procedures found herself at the receiving end of more of them
than she ever imaged in her life!   

Amanda could not say enough wonderful things about Dr.
Esposito.  She credits her persistence
and expertise as the reason she is a mother today.

The coolest part about stepping into a family’s life as a
lifestyle portrait photographer, is you become a part of the great story God is
weaving into their life.  I got to see
first hand the triumph John and Amanda having come through their fertility
struggle together.  They are as adorable
together as Joel and Jadon! 

Today Amanda and John’s heart is wrapped so tightly around
these little boys, the years of struggle to get to this point seem like a
distant past.   Amanda’s elementary
school background is evident in her little activity centers she tries to put in
place for the boys.  The twins’ genetic code
as boys is evident in their love of turning everything upside down and constant
wrestling of each other.   

Amanda and John are preparing for the celebration that will
be the twin’s first birthday party March 2nd.   Along with many other loved ones, there will
be 3 other sets of twins there.  These
were all connections the Robinson’s made from their years at Shady Grove.  What a joyful and boisterous celebration it
will be!

Joel and Jadon—stepping into your life to mark your first
birthday in a lifestyle portrait session was a delight.  It was like stepping back into my life 8 ½
years ago when my twins were your age.   Further confirmation to me that in parenting
the days at times will feel eternal, but the years will always fly by.  I recognized the deep love in your momma and
daddy’s eyes and the tiredness that comes with trying to keep up with
multiples. 

Your wide eyed wonder, your giggles, your adoration of momma
and daddy—all treasures we have captured for you to look back upon and know
how much you were loved!
