Followers of the Jennifer DiDio Photography blog will recognize these sweet peas! The Collins family was back for their annual family portrait session and this time had their session at the tale end of summer to guarantee warm weather that fall rarely provides.
The kids were excited that they could kick off their shoes and romp around! Time is marked by how quickly our children grow…well, when you link arms with other people’s children who you typically see once a year, you really feel it! I remember when Addison brought her “bun-bun” stuffed bunny to the first portrait time with me…Ryder brought his ‘fav-re’ blankie this year, but I didn’t see ‘bun-bun” this year…time…stands still for no man.
In every portrait session, I try to pull aside with mom and dad to create a romantic portrait. This is where the family started. This is why we are here today. But, oh my, anyone with children knows how quickly that is lost sight of in the overwhelming work load faced each day with children, careers and the daily grind.
When I photographed Julie & Jude the kids played with the bubbles and explored my bag of goodies. We grabbed a few stolen moments to record Julie & Jude in portraits that Julie said reminded her of when they first met…music to my ears! Keep stealing moments away to be reminded of all that drew you to one another to create your beautiful family.
