A mother’s love…it’s a muse for countless poems, paintings, sculptures, novels, songs…and yet not nearly as many for a father’s love. Perhaps that’s because it doesn’t come nearly around as often in a way that’s inspiring to creatives. Pity for them. That’s not the case with the fathers I link arms with for portraits.
I get to link arms with a lot of great families with dads who are vested. Dads who step into their role of fathering in a way that shows they understand they are shaping the next generation. When I work with a mom and dad who both get this…it’s just a beautiful thing. I linked arms with Rieman and Tim to celebrate Tommy’s 6 month old portraits and it was such a pleasure to meet this family and preserve the sweetness of their little family.
It’s hard to explain just how wild these two are about their little Tommy. Mom and Dad both just beamed the entire session over Tommy who mirrored that joy right back at them through the whole session, right up to the point where he fell asleep.
Tommy discovered a handsome little bubba in the mirror…a moment of self discovery…priceless. Dear little one, may you continue to flourish so beautifully under the mantel of your Momma and Daddy’s love as you grow bigger and stronger!
