JDP senior Bella

Determination has met its match in JDP senior Bella!  Don’t let her petite package fool you; this young woman is a force to be reckoned with!  Bella attends Maryvale and thrives in an environment that encourages academic excellence and achievement.

Maryvale has created an environment where Bella can stay after class to go more in depth on an AP physics problem that’s intriguing her.  She’ll compete with her friends to be the first to finish the problem.  It’s clear she’s gaining skills that will prepare her for her career. She’s charting a course towards a career in engineering, just like her dad.  Excellence and persistence is the hallmark of all she lays her hands to in life. 

Bella’s long list of academic accomplishments at Maryvale is beautifully capped by her invitation and membership into National Honor Society, National Honors Arts Society and National Honors Spanish Society.  Excellence and persistence is the hallmark of all she lays her hands to in life. She serves as the school treasurer while also serving in the ACE and STEM programs. 

Dancing and swimming have been an integral part of developing this disciplined approach to Bella’s life.  After 14 years of dance, Bella set aside dancing last year to dedicate more focus on her competitive swimming.  Today she is the captain of the Maryvale swim team.

Bella swims competitively year round.  She is currently 3rd in Central Maryland for backstroke and 2nd in freestyle and backstroke in the county.  She also lifeguards which keeps her close to the water even for her work time. 

Bella fell in love with some of her studio selected outfits for interesting creations like above.  She is this cool blend of a young woman who appreciates the arts and creating while also loving the maths and sciences–that’s an intriguing and rare combo! 

Something tells me this powerhouse will have her own engineering firm one day!  Can’t wait to see!  Bella is also one of our newest invitations into the JDP senior model program so look for her in future shares!  Rock on Bella!
