JDP senior Cam

Blog followers prepare yourself, JDP senior Cameron’s blog is going to take you on a majestic cornucopia of style, sass and editorial delight.  Cam had a marathon session that allowed us the flexibility to showcase so much of this girl’s awesomeness!  Cam dreams of one day being able to model and knew how to bring it throughout her session, flowing effortlessly through her movements.

Cam has been anticipating her senior portraits for years, as I have for her as well!  She watched in anticipation as I first created an Unveil your Cinderella session for her mom, then her sister Madi’s senior portraits 3 years ago and finally it was her turn!

I knew Cam’s sense of style would lend well to the urban back drop downtown Westminster provides so beautifully.  She classifies herself as a blend of New York and Southern belle.  And my favorite description of all for her–‘a fashionista on the outside and a nerd on the inside!’  LOVE IT!

As you can see she rocked an editorial style that looks as though it could grace an ad for clothing designers for these adorable outfits she put together.  She also caused quite a stir as we created downtown.  Pretty sure locals think I’m shooting for someone famous when we are creating in the downtown area! Who knows–maybe it’s in her future someday!;)

We transitioned to studio and I loved her idea to sport her Nike’s with this statement making studio dress!

Watching fearless Cam transition from editorial magazine to fine art was spectacular and we knew we were creating in this segment for the walls in her home to accompany her mom and sister’s portraits!

And back to editorial fun!  The editorial set ups were what Cam was anticipating the most because her sense of style got to shine and she moved effortlessly through each set up.

Cam is such a joy to spend time with.  She’s silly and full of energy that is contagious.  When she chose the portrait below, she said, “that is so me!”  Love that we captured so many facets of her personality!

This hat!  Took three tries but the right one finally arrived and Cam was super pumped to sport it for her portrait time!

Cam is headed to High Point this fall to study Psychology as she hopes to be a therapist in the future.  She’s fascinated by how the brain works and is obsessed with true crime tv.  Her dad is a cop so he’s likely had an influence on that as well!
