JDP senior Alyssa is one surprise after another. You’ll learn more about that in a minute, but oh my word! This first look for her was just jaw dropping. My stylist Jill’s hair creation…the dress…the red lips…it was all an exquisite pairing that I could not have loved more!
I have never met a senior who is so passionate about 3 very different genres of interests: cheerleading, softball and Harry Potter. I was fascinated! This gorgeous girl will keep you guessing every step of the way.
When Alyssa spoke about her love of Harry Potter she told me she had a House of Slytherin costume she was hoping to include in her portrait time and I was intrigued. Not because I’ve followed any of the Harry Potter mania but because she was so interested in it. That always makes for cool portraits.
Alyssa’s been cheering since 5th grade and her coaches (who has sometimes been her mom) are some of her biggest personal cheerleaders in life. She’s skilled at stunting and is the one you see the group of cheerleaders below throwing and tossing in the air. She’s also the one you’ll see flipping across the fields at the Friday night game.
Alyssa cheers for Oakdale High but also for a highly competitive travel cheer group. I’m not sure how she does it, but Alyssa is on 2 cheer teams and two softball teams. And she also works at Marshalls!
Cheerleading is intense whereas softball is relaxing and fun for Alyssa. She’s been doing it since 5th grade and loves everything about the sport. She plays for Oakdale and the Maryland Outlaws.
Of course with her Harry Potter fascination and the House of Slytherin, her prom gown would be green!
Alyssa gets lost in the story of Harry Potter and was intrigued by what we could create for her to always remember her love of the story!
Check out that championship ring! It swallows up her little self!
Likely Alyssa will cheer in college and some of her top choices are Clemson, Penn State, Frostburg and Davenport. She hopes to major in business management to help guide her in owning her own cheer gym one day. Her mom also played softball and cheered throughout her life and has been there every step of the way for Alyssa as she’s grown as an athlete, a competitor, a cheerleader and as a young woman of strength and beauty.
We closed outdoors in the dark to lock down the springing nature of Alyssa’s flipping. She was a champ and rocked it! Continue to soar high sweet girl! The world awaits your smile and your love for life!
