JDP senior Caitlyn has dreamed about having a Highland cow of her own one day. She’s involved in the FFA (Future Farmers of America) at Liberty High and loves it! She also takes ag classes daily and had a calf that she cared for in her ag program.

She even had a Highland cow birthday cake for her sweet 16. So of course we set to task to see about including Highland cows in her JDP senior portrait session. And we found Fixins Farm AirBnB who graciously opened their doors to us for creating.

Caitlyn danced most of her life, but stopped when the pandemic forced life to come to a screeching halt. She spent hundreds of hours in studio learning the choreography to hip hop, jazz and contemporary dance. So naturally she misses her time in studio creating movement to music.
Caitlyn has an adorable smile and natural cheer about her. So when she decided to try something new her freshman year, she found cheerleading was a great match.

She found very quickly that she loves performing, just as she had in dance. She is a flyer so the exhilaration that accompanies her moves is incredible. She has a love/hate relationship with cheer but it’s taken root for her in a way that brings a lot of rewards.
When we transitioned to Fixin’s Farm Airbnb we found a lovely little farm where the owners greeted us warmly. They made themselves available to help with anything we needed and wrangled the cows for portraits with Caitlyn.

Caitlyn had been dreaming about time with the Highlands for quite some time. The farm owner instructed her to brush heavily or else it would feel like tickling them. The cows were quite intrigued by the whole process of us being there and were eager to check us out!

While Caitlyn is a farm loving girl, we knew it would look incredible and dreamy to take her out on the farm in a gown as well as her teen wear.
Caitlyn was a vision amidst the end of summer flowers that ringed the farm. It feels to me as though we plucked her from a fairy tale!
