JDP senior Caidy knows how to get her business done in life! She’s graduating a year early from Hanover High because of all the extra work she did during Covid to get ahead. While others were bing watching Netflix, she decided to knock a year off of highschool!

Caidy’s always been mature and led in the classroom academically. She’s got her eyes on the prize to study nursing now, with potential for medical school or a CRNA.
She’s been drawn to the health field her whole life, I’d guess being a diabetic has given her an inside track to the inner workings. She feels it deeply that she was put on this earth to be a helper and is excited that what she’s born to do she can make a career out of.

Caidy’s also an animal lover. She’s got cats and dogs at her mom’s house and her dad’s house. Her cats were a pair of kittens she bottle fed during Covid because they couldn’t go the shelter.

Caidy was diagnosed with Type I diabetes when she was just 3 years old. Her family was at a birthday dinner and Caidy started crying for water. Her older brother has diabetes as well, so her experienced parents immediately suspected something was up.
Doing a quick test they saw Caidy’s sugar was sky high. So they began the steps there were very acquainted with from her brother all over again. Caidy is grateful for her insulin pump to help regulate her diabetes and is quick to acknowledge issues with it are typically user error.
She does her best to not make diabetes are ruling factor in her life or a factor that prevents her from doing all dreams of in life.
