At the 14 year mark for JDP, I marvel at how every big change in our studio has been prompted by client request. After our JDP senior line took off years ago, we noticed a new trend: many parents didn’t want to wait years to have siblings adorn their walls alongside their seniors. They requested I create a similar experience for their other children. And that’s how JDP jr. was born.

We created for JDP senior Charles recently. As his mom Ann toured the studio, she said, “oh Jayna would love this!” Jayna came to Charles’s view and choose (and even helped his gf shop for clothes for Charles’s session). She was vested for her Bubby’s portraits. Seeing her excitement, Ann decided she wanted Jayna to have this experience and to have Jayna’s portraits hang right alongside Charles in their home.
So Jayna brought all her adorable sass to studio, this time for her own creations! I joked that Charles would need to come to her View and Choose and she said, “I hope he can!” Their bond is so sweet!

JDP jr. Jayna is about to start her freshman year at Oakdale where she hopes to play soccer and run indoor track and field. Jayna is a striker and is energized by the thought of scoring a goal. She’s also a competitive swimmer specializing in breast stroke, back stroke and fly.
Jayna has also been a dancer for 10 years of her life. She loves the calming feeling of telling a story via movement. Unfortunately, the extra bone in her foot makes wearing pointe shoes a no-go.

My favorite creations for clients are always timeless fine art portraits like this one below. I always imagine myself walking through a museum and seeing my clients right alongside all the other works of art!
