It was several years ago that our JDP senior client families started requesting we create for their younger siblings and JDP jr. was launched…then their college graduates and JDP senior senior was launched. Kylie is in her senior year at Eckerd College where she’s double majoring in marine science with a biology track and animal studies.

Kylie’s sister Gabby was one of our JDP seniors last year and she inspired Kylie to have her own JDP style portraits. Kylie flew in from Florida and raided Gabby’s closet for some outfits to combine in with her studio wardrobe selections.

Kylie’s goal upon graduation is to work with marine life in tanks. Nothing beats the experience of being in the semi-wild with dolphins and helping them rehabilitate for rescue/release endeavors. Kylie’s got a tender heart that it’s clear animals respond to in kind.
This dream to work with dolphins started for Kylie in 6th grade and it just stuck.

Kylie was hoping to include her own puppy in her portrait time, but didn’t want to subject her to the flight from FL to MD in the belly of the plane. So instead she opted for her long time love Koda who was more than happy to make her debut appearance in portraits at JDP!:)
Complimenting her great love of animals, Kylie is also an outdoors girl who loves to find herself underwater snorkeling. Living in FL allows her to enjoy sea shell and shark teeth collecting walks on the beach. If she’s not collecting she’s riding her long board or hiking with her dog and boyfriend.

Kylie, you are a delight and a joy! Watching your mom and Gabby beam at you as you had your magical day was a priceless moment for all of us! Not sure if you saw Gabby’s tears at seeing your radiance…but I have the video. I pray that moment is locked into your mind for a constant reminder of your absolute preciousness and pricelessness to those fortunate enough to call you theirs through this journey of life.
I’m so proud of the woman my granddaughter has become, she had a dream and stuck with it, she is a very determined young lady, and I love her with all my heart.❤️
