Jennifer’s two young adult sons are now launched and she’s figuring out what it means to live without a big list of “have to’s” that are wrapped around most of our daily lives. She is ready to explore all that calls to her in this 40+ life before her.
Jennifer is ready to explore her hobbies without boundaries. She’s intrigued by travel, life at the beach and live music. She’s spent many years crafting her dream career and now has the flexibility to have some fun. She is an assistant professor of nursing specializing in adult critical care and still enjoys working with patients at the bedside.

Jennifer’s learned a lot about herself in the last few years. She’s learned she doesn’t have to fear being on her own. She’s evaluated what she truly enjoys doing in life and is prepared to invest in those things. That includes many weekends over the summer burying her toes in the sand while she listens to live music at Dewey Beach.
You see, this beauty before you who loves hard rock and the beach, is equally an academic who loves learning and never intends to stop. Her friends who know her from her social activities are always surprised to learn how studious Jennifer really is. Her family is always surprised by how much she works. She’s learned to be comfortable with all their confusion.

Jennifer takes classes for fun and this commitment to education has meant she’s earned a slew of degrees, post graduate degrees (including a doctorate) and certifications. This fall she’ll be pursuing a Masters in Public Health with a focus on policy. Jennifer is very interested in diversity and social justice as it affects the field of medicine.

This ICU nurse/professor/studious rocker is approaching 40 with a party plan in mind, but more importantly is excited for what she’s putting behind her. She’s officially let go of the need to perform for others. She’s comfortable in her own skin and plans to pursue all the things that make her heart beat faster. She’s ready to tackle the next 40 years with strength, conviction, laughter, and joy as she grows in wisdom and tenacity.
