JDP senior Kylie started dancing when she was just 4 years old. The joy she feels…well, really, feeling everything so much more deeply while she dances: this is the axis her life spins on. Dance has captured her and refuses to let go.

This Ms. Sassypants knows how to bring the spunk and fun to whatever she lays her hands to in life. She attends the fashion program at Career Tech. She loves creating via sewing. Combine that with her love of dance and this girl just has creativity spilling out of her at every turn!

Kylie dreams of one day dancing in Moulin Rouge in Paris! She’s exploring her options to continue dance training in college now! Such an exciting and simultaneously nerve wrecking journey! She’s a member of Dynamite dance team which has been a great experience for her growth as a dancer.

Yes indeed it was freezing, but if there’s one thing almost all dancers have in common its their high threshold for discomfort for the sake of beauty! They have learned how to tune out the voice in their heads that cries, ‘ow this hurts,’ ‘my toes are numb,’ ‘my muscles ache.’ Kylie didn’t bat an eye at creating in the freezing cold…and oh wasn’t it worth it!
