I met Melina 5 years ago and I’m so grateful to have. Her mom planned a 50th wedding anniversary celebration and she hired me to create portraits to commemorate the day. I still remember being out at Antrim’s fountain, everyone was slightly freezing, including Melina in her flowy dress. Fortunately, she indulged me for a few minutes; I knew magic was about to happen. It’s a serendipitous moment we locked down that arrests the eye.
She has been hanging in my office for several years now and I am still compelled by her portrait. She hangs in her mom’s Florida home as well. I joked with her that she likely remained on the home page of my old website for longer than protocol would suggest, but I couldn’t help myself. Melina is a muse.
Melina returned for her own Unveil your Cinderella day to surprise her dearly loved husband with portraits that will become a cherished treasure to him. However, these days are just as much of a priceless gift for the client. I never tire of hearing how meaningful this day is for the women I create for. Melina has the kind of eyes that draw everyone in. This coupled with her kindness and gentleness of spirit make her a joy to be around. I love that she is choosing to grow in her, as she calls them, “wisdom highlights.” Quite frankly, I’m eager to see what the next phase of Melina as a woman of strength and a head full of wisdom highlights is going to look like! Equally compelling I’m quite sure!
