JDP senior Ryan

JDP senior Ryan kept my team and his mother laughing through his entire session. This guy has a heart of gold for people and Ryan assured me as serious as his brother Robert was for his session that he would be the opposite. He was goofy, charming and joking around with us all day long!

Ryan loves the outdoors, whether it’s fishing, photographing in the woods or going for a run. I handed him my brand spankin new Nikon z9 to create the above marking his love of photography. He provided his own fishing rod. 😉

Ryan is a senior at Calvert High where he’s not a giant fan of the academics (except history) but he’s a big fan of being on the soccer team.

Ryan loves everything about the game of soccer. He’s a striker and left wing. The pace of the game energizes him and he can’t wait to take the field every week!

Crazily, the very next day after his portraits, his soccer game took a devastating turn. His mom and dad were supposed to be away, but thankfully the intended trip didn’t happen. They were grateful to be able to see their boy play the game he loves. Unfortunately, however, as they entered the field, they walked onto the scene of their boy on the ground with blood all around him.

Panic set it as they tried to figure out what had happened. Chasing after a ball, Ryan and a goalie collided heads. To his parents horror, Ryan was sent to shock trauma. Thank the Lord they learned he could move his body. Aside the from the stitches he needed, the concussion he suffered has sidelined him for his senior year. Of course he is crushed by this. However, he understands the news could have been much worse.

Ryan is very hopeful that he can be cleared for play by the time of playoffs. We are rooting for you Ryan, as I’m sure your team is as well!

Ryan’s dad served in Iraq two tours and received the CIB-Combat Infantry Badge. Ryan plans to join the military after graduation as well. He currently trains with an Army recruiter in workouts to help prepare him for what he’ll face when he joins.

You can find Ryan carving up the slopes on his board during the winter months when soccer comes to a stand still.

Ryan, you were an absolute delight and the team over here at JDP is thanking the Lord for your protection in your soccer injury. We are praying for your speedy recovery and hope you’ll be back on the fields before you don the cap and gown! May protection be over you as you step into the Army in pursuit of protecting our great country!
